SVG, also known as dynamic reactive power compensation generator, or static synchronous compensator, refers to the device of dynamic reactive power compensation by self commutation power semiconductor bridge converter. The basic principle is that self commutation bridge circuit is composed of turn off, high-power and high-frequency power electronic devices (such as IGBT), which are connected in parallel with the power grid through the reactor.
